A parishioner at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Bethlehem, Mrs. Thalia Parr is a seasoned actor, director, and drama educator who will be tasked to stand-up SFCCA’s new drama program in the upcoming 2024-25 academic year. A graduate of Bennington College in Vermont with a bachelor’s degree in both Theater and Philosophy, Mrs. Parr most recently directed Holy Ghost’s children’s production of Shakespeare’s As You Like It, and she has also directed adult productions of other classic works as Sophocles’ Antigone and Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Mrs. Parr has also donated her artistic talents to a number of Catholic charities, including My Bonita Home for Girls, an apostolate of the Mary Queen of Heaven Missionaries who provide healing for young girls who have been the victims of human trafficking and sexual abuse. Mrs. Parr cannot wait to get started inspiring our students with the truth, beauty, and goodness of classical dramatics.
